Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, I always wanted to live somewhere near the ocean. After studying at the University of Manitoba, I visited family in Vancouver for a week and never looked back. Twelve years, a husband, a major home renovation and two kids later I am proud to call Powell River home.
I have developed a unique understanding of the qathet region after exploring it for nearly a decade. Always in client-first roles both in the bridal and automotive industry, real estate was the next natural step - after all once you have a wedding and a car you need the perfect home, right?
I have spent my life understanding how people make decisions, which results in my clients receiving attentive service personalised to where they're at in their process. I strive to make the process as stress-free as possible for clients and always acts with transparency and integrity.
Community involvement has become a bigger focus as I raise my children here and notice how big a role this town plays in their upbringing - from them knowing everyone at the Rec Centre so they can run around freely and ask any adult for help, to them playing hockey and doing gymnastics with friends' parents always available to offer a ride if our schedules get busy, working together to raise the next generation will help them cultivate a sense of this shared responsibility for wherever they call home and raise their own littles one day (hopefully here!).
Serving on the Powell River Sunshine Coast Real Estate Board as a Director in a volunteer capacity has shown me how much consideration and effort it takes to keep an industry moving forward in this fast-paced world where our gadgets move faster than our brains. Learning from the other Realtors and working on constant improvement in our abilities to serve our clients, friends and neighbours is an honour.
